The sun will be out later today once the low clouds and fog burn off. After a rainy weekend, things will dry out this week and temperatures slightly below normal. Expect low 80's today with sunny skies. We could see cloudy skies on Tuesday and Wednesday due to moisture flowing in from the east, but don't expect much rain. The rest of the week looks dry and sunny with highs in the 80's.
It sure looks like we are going to end the summer of 2009 with no extreme heat. The Anniston area finishes the month of August with 4.53" of rain and only 13 days with highs of 90 degrees or better. Not bad for August in Alabama. Sure has me concerned about the winter ahead.
Tropics remain quiet.
