Labor Day Notes

* This past Saturday reminded me again what we don't know and understand about predicting weather even as little as 24 hours in advance. I awoke Saturday morning to rain. Rain continued on and off most of the morning and returned just in time for Auburn's kickoff that evening. What began as a near 0% chance of a shower, later upgraded to 30%, ended with a wet tailgate party. Oh well.....

* Sunny skies and warmer temperatures today helped remove bad memories of this weekend as the high reached 87F in the ole backyard thermometer.

* The week ahead appears sunny and warmer with highs in the upper 80's each day. Their will be a slight chance of a passing shower each day.

* Auburn and Alabama both play at home Saturday night with kickoff's scheduled for 6:00pm. Weather right now looks warm and humid with kickoff temperatures around 80F. Clouds and sun will be mixed during the day and rain is certainly possible during the evening. More to come on this as we progress into the week....

* And finally, it was great to kickoff the College Football season in the outdoor theatre. Good football, food, and friends. Thursday, Saturday, and Monday nights are going to be cranking this fall.
